Good morning, everyone!!!
Ahhhh, it's a new week and also the beginning of my nine day stretch at the day job. I did manage to get that Christmas stuff out of the house, boxed up, and into the garage. The Christmas tree coming down was a pretty scary thing considering I was doing that by myself and I'm sure the little fish in the smaller fish tank were a bit scared it was coming into the tank with them. Ah, but alas, I did manage to get it apart and back in the box.
Now I can say all my goals for last week are done and it is time to move into a new week.
A few writer pals and I will be doing a write in tonight. We're hooking up online around 7ish and writing until around 8ish to get the ball going on our writing this month/year. So tonight I will be working on Unfinished Business :)
We have this thing we do in our chapter Million Word March. Where we work toward writing a million words. I used to kick ass on that one, but the last couple of years I've been slacking. So, I decided this year no slacking. Sometimes to not slack you need the support of a few good writer friends :) Hence the reason for this little idea of getting together and writing at least once a week to start.
Now that I've managed to get the Christmas put away for another year and things around the house are in pretty good shape (okay, okay, there are a few pesky dishes in the sink and some clothes to fold, but you know how I hate those chores, LOL) I can now focus on some writing without the nagging feeling I've got things to do.
I have to be up early early tomorrow for my shift at work. Surprise meeting for the boss and that means books for me tomorrow :) It will all be good though, I can get back in the swing of working every day once again this way. Last week was a much needed time off.
I like new weeks. They give you a chance to start again. To make new plans and new goals and work toward them. You feel so accomplished at the end of the week when you've managed to get everything done. Yes, I procrastinated on getting the Christmas things down, but hey, it's a new week and they're all gone. I don't think I missed anything this year either :)
I'll be writing out my list of things to do for the week and marking them off as I go. This way my day job work week will be just as productive as my week was last week. I have a bad habit of not wanting to do too much on my nine day stretch around here, so then when I have a day off I have too much to do that first day. That is counterproductive in my opinion, so I need to push the mark a little better this year on that aspect :)
Well I guess I should shoot out a reminder to my writer pals on our meet up then prepare to go to the day job.
Everyone have a lovely day!!!
Blessings to all!!!
