Good morning, everyone!!!
It was so humid last night I had trouble falling asleep, okay so maybe it was not so much falling asleep but staying asleep. So, this morning I gathered my things and headed to the back porch for coffee and fresh air. I have to say the humidity seems to be gone for now.
I do love spending the morning waking up with coffee and fresh air. There's just something about it that helps put the day in perspective :)
I've missed this time of year for certain. Listening to the birds begin to wake up and sing their songs. The wind blowing through the trees. The soft glow of my palm tree lamp and my laptop. The only things that break the darkness.
Life is simple this way. No worries. No thoughts other than how nice it is to wake up this way. Being grateful for the fact I am alive to see another day.
Our charity drive at work brought in $3611 this year. I know that may not seem like a great deal to some of you, but that is huge for a small town in my opinion :) We are so blessed here to have such community support. There's nothing like small town Indiana.
If we didn't win first place I will still be thrilled for whoever did. Why? Because I know what kind of work we put into this and therefore, I know whoever got first place had to work very hard to push the mark.
I've found my peace this week and I wish to hold onto it for as long as I can. I spent the evening last night watching the grandson play baseball. I studied the other teams pitcher, instructed him to get a piece of that ball. He had a fantastic hit!!! Then he got a final out for the other team by catching an amazing fly ball. You could see his smile all the way to where I was sitting across the field :)
Some days it's all about the decision you are going to be you, you are going to be happy, and you just do it. Happiness is found more so in the simple things in this life rather than the major life points.
Everyone have a lovely day!!!
Blessings to all!!!
